It all gives Wild Drops the feeling of something magical, as though a big win is just around the corner. The symbols are different coloured gemstones, gold, and the Wilds are gold nuggets. During the bonus round, the background colours change from dark blues and purples to brighter oranges and reds.
Wild Drops’ Matching Gems feature triggers when players land three matching gems in a horizontal row. The matching gems fall away and are replaced with the gems above falling into their place and giving players a chance for more matching. This continues until no more matches land or until the screen is cleared.

A brief animation sequence for the bonus round or a random movement of carts would have been really cool. It’s strange that with all the resources available, so many game developers are choosing really simple game themes. There’s nothing wrong with that, but if the theme is simple, then the gameplay should be exciting.
Unfortunately, Wild Drops is fairly tame to watch and play, with no big wins and even the Bonus Round feeling a bit flat. It’s not a terrible game by any means, and the visuals and sounds are pleasant. But for players looking for edge-of-your-seat excitement, look elsewhere. Wild Drops is good enough casual game, but not a great one.
